That right Red Box, the super market dvd rental service, plans to rent games from 21,000 Red Box locations.
That might be a boon for some people, I might rent a game from a Red Box since teh two times a year taht might makes sense would be cheaper then a GameFly subscription.
What do you think? Last gasp of disc rentals before the online flood? Or, this is a viable market to be tapped for a few years?

Video games are available in the Redbox here already.
$2.00 a day and pretty limited selection. If I remember correctly they only had 3 PS3 games (Transformers DOM; Uncharted 2; and Killzone 3).
Although all the games were all rented I think that it will be a short lived idea. At 2 dollars a day that is more expensive than any other game rental pricing this area has ever seen.

I need to check out Red Box, or should I say Red Boxes (wait ox = oxen, so box= boxen?)
Since we have two next to each other, I wonder if one of them has games? That would be interesting! In the end I think my library will have more selection at least in terms of depth as we build the collection, but the Red Box having more new releases could prove useful.
