I just wanted to find out from you guys if you think anything needs tidying up around here. Archive certain boards? Re-arrange anything?
If there's anything you think would be a good change, let me know.

I think instead of haveing all the ps2 topics in an archive they should have their own section. You have all the major brands but the ps2 is getting put in a hole and forgot about on here.

You should make it so that I have admin powers, so I can delete and modify things at will. FWAHAHAHAHAHA!

I think instead of haveing all the ps2 topics in an archive they should have their own section. You have all the major brands but the ps2 is getting put in a hole and forgot about on here. In the "Gaming Underground" section I only created boards by company, not console. The PlayStation board is for all things PlayStation. I thought of adding a sub-forum for PS2, like I did for the PSP, but I thought it would get buried so I didn't. The entire PlayStation board is for PS2 if you want it to be. Also, I'm not sure if you noticed, but all of the archived boards are actually games, not systems. As old online games get pushed out to make room for the new, I put the boards in the Archive. If a board does not have any posts in it for a number of months it gets archived. I hope that explains why I have no PS2 specific boards.

I think it's that time of year again that I'm going to go through and archive a bunch of unused boards.
Let me know if you have any suggestions or what have you. If you're looking for a board that used to be here, check the archives.

No clue... most of the boards seem mostly inactive with the exception of open discussion and well.... AO

Under the GAP Underground section, can we have a second archive for the Playstation, Xbox, Nintendo and PC Gaming Talk forums? We can title this archive as "Video Game Talk". I think that would reduce the clutter on the main page quite a bit.

Create a new forum (or archive) and stick those boards (PS Talk, Xbox Talk, Nintendo Talk and PC Talk) into it as sub forums/boards. Like this: Main Board (Gaming Underground section) -Video Game Talk (main forum) --Playstation Talk (sub board) --Xbox Talk (sub board) --Nintendo Talk (sub board) --PC Gaming Talk (sub board)

Dr. Monkey recommends amputation...da da dumm. It seems to me we have way too many boards that draw people off into different directions instead of bring people together. It is a bit overwhelming to get here and enter a board only to see 30 sub boards pop up. It is always a question of do you reply in Game Night or under the systems, etc. So why not clean it up and give people some very simple and clear choices. We're all big boys & girls we can have a thread about PS3 right above a thread about XB360 that is just below a thread about Wii. We can have discussions about Forza 2 and GT5 next to each other. I think we need a new system for boards: - Requests, Suggestions, Problems
- Introduce Yourself
- GAP Game Nights
- Gaming Talk
- Open Discussion
- GAP Meet 2007 at E For All
- Mod Lair
That is it! No sub boards, no extra boards, nor fooling around. Yes, it sound reckless and harsh, but I think some shrubs need to be pruned to the ground. All GAP Nights should be on one board so everyone can see what people are trying to play on each system. All talk about games should appear on one board no matter what system it is on. Again because people should see what the latest discussion, issues, or reviews of games are on each system in one spot. It goes without saying Open discussion should be one big board, Etc, etc. But again I have to reinforce the simplicity of having fewer boards and more mixing. There are only a handful of people here and there is nearly zero activity on most boards which means people are less inclined to write something....so less people bother coming...so less people write...so less people come. It a circle and we can fix that by having fewer boards with what little activity we have focused on just those boards.

I've seriously been thinking about doing this M-K. I roam the GAF board quite often with it's only one main gaming board and it seems to do just fine. Hmmmmm? Anyone else? I'd actually be very into this. About a month ago I had actually had it all ready to go and decided not to at the last minute. I may just do it anyhow because I do really think this is a great idea.

I've decided I'm going to go with Monkey King's suggestions. So if you're here while I'm working you may see things bouncing all over the place for a while.
