Yes, summer for most people is about being in the great outdoors or wanting to be, but that does not mean you have to stop gaming. Here are a number of recommendations for engrossing games for your portable devices so you can play at the park or beach. For those rainy days, a few console games to make you get in the spirit of summer.
5) Flower by Sony Computer Entertainment.
Journey through varied landscapes at your own pace, interacting with, and changing the environment as you go, and find balance and harmony in your surroundings is all this game asks. In other worlds let go, get into the flow of the wind, and just let this game HAPPEN to you. Along the way, you might bring some sunshine into your dreary world. If you cannot actually be outside this might be the next best thing.
4) California Games (for various systems)
If you want to play a classic summer time game what could be better then California games for your NES emulator. Released in 1987 by Epyx for a large number of systems, California Games was a collection of mini-games based around outdoor activities in non-traditional sports. I am sure it was not the first game with bikini girls, but it is probably one of the first ones many people played.
3) Tiger Woods PGA Tour 11 by EA
It s summer time, so it is time hit the links! What better way to enjoy nature then on a manufactured and chemically treated lawn? Now that Move has shipped, PGA Tour 11 is compatible with Move, so you could practice your swing on a rainy summer day!
2) Kinectimals by Microsoft Studios
A sunny island, furry animals, and a flying cat-monkey. What do those have in common aside from reminding me of a hippy girl who never shaved I once knew? Damned if I know how all the fist together, but the game looks like summer time with all that dappled sunshine on green grass. Also if you are going to play a “summer time” game this one might interest a drunken 18-year-old girl with a tiny bikini into walking into your lair…I mean home.
1) Dead or Alive Paradise by Tecmo
The first thing to understand is this is not a game, it is a bikini-watching giggle simulator. All you do is choose a Dead or Alive female character to play as, do various activities while making friends with the other girls for more in game currency (Zack Dollar)s. With your Zack Dollars, you can buy new degrading swimsuits and other unlockables that are useless. As far as summer games go this is very summery, but not a great game.
