I know it is hard to write something when you have all likely written 10 blogs on 10 other sites this week, but give it that old college try. The more you write the more other will write and the more you will feel like writing.
I'm trying to write more here for a change. Smaller audience and more friends here then at....The Soup...GAP as I call it. The Soup is fine for some things like trying to get people to eat my Cockmeant Sandwich, but I think this is a nice place to write because you don't have so many newbies not understanding what they heck is going on.

Agreed. It seems to have died off over here quite a bit recently! I'm not much of a writer on any site to speak of, but I do like to comment and throw a short quip here and there.

But...but... I suck at (life) writing. Really it's more that I have nothing to say. I could whine about having to have my transmission replaced on a car with only 33,000 miles. God that sucks. It's probably going to cost well over $1500 to fix. Cars suck. The only other thing I do is drink. I could regale you with funny drunken stories, I guess. They're not that funny when your sober though, hysterical when drunk This did start with a point, I have long forgotten what it was, lol.

What is the difference between writing here or at the G.A.P.? Or perhaps 1Up, Myspace, Facebook, WordPress, or any one of the other dozen sites GAP is a part of. It's just as likely that no one will write here as it is that no one will write at the G.A.P. and those same odds apply to who would be getting comments on their writing and who would be giving. Changing places won't make people blog more, though it may afford them the comforted luxury of feeling more private so those who already blog may change their writing style to fit the mood but it's a wasted effort mate. You can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink. You can have every active G.A.P. member sign up or view every current 'posting' site but you can't make 'em write.

What is the difference writing here? Audience. It used to be like this on GAP where nearly every singe writer knew every single other writer and they community was more compact. Content. It would be nice to write in here things we cannot write in GAP and wouldn't bother writing anywhere else. Why go to Facebook to talk about GAP? People wouldn't get it...."Gap? I didn't know you folded sweaters at Gap?" This place can/should act as...well the GAP Underground...where we can talk about GAP without having everyone see it. Since we know the audience we know who and what we can gripe about here in safety. As for you can lead a horse to water but you can't make a GAPer write. Well, that is the point, except 180 degrees the other way. TOO MANY people at GAP are writing. It is no longer a community that you can get your head around because there are too many voices talking. I dream of a day when GAP actually "reduces" the amount of writers writing because then the community aspect can bond again. This is not a GAP is dying post, but it points out the big problem with GAP as it stands now which is there are too many people in it and there is no way to separate people into more manageable pods. Since GAP as it stands now doesn't have the governance and structure to have so many people writing (and never will) people should look elsewhere. This place has had a perfect balance because it take all of GAP and sifts out the background noise. We let anyone in but since you have to find this place through a hidden door it self regulates without being draconian. And if people are going to look for a an outlet to talk about games without so much background noise they should start fucking totally new blogs on some blog site. I hate having to be everyone’s life coach here by why arte you all starting Wordpress accounts when you could write here? Moreover, Chewbacca is from Kashyyyk, yet he lives on Endor. Why? Why would a Wookiee, an eight-foot tall Wookiee, want to live on Endor, with a bunch of two-foot tall Ewoks? That does NOT MAKE SENSE! But more important, you have to ask yourself: What does this have to do with blogging here? Nothing. Ladies and gentlemen, it has nothing to do with this blogging so why do you all have Wordpress accounts to talk about gaming! I rest my case!
