G.A.P. Battlefield 2: Modern Combat Online PS2 - RESTARTED Hosted by: Monkey-King [in game [GAP]Monkey69] When: (Clan wars) Sundays @ 5pm (PST) - 8pm (EST) Room: Clan games invites or just find each other if no clan match going. Max. Players: 24 Connection: Ethernet (Broadband) Only Chat: Controller/Voice (Headset) More Info: Likely a Conquest game with auto-rotation maps so we don’t get trapped in a 57 game long Backstab room.
For the time being I seem to be kicked out of the [GAP] Clan, but people are on my friends list within the game so I will try to set up the game with my in game name: Updated [GAP]Monkey69. I will run the game for a few weeks to see what the interest level will be. No matter what people can expect ME to be playing at that time over the next few weeks. If anyone wants to play I'll be there tomorrow at 5:00PM EST...if not earlier.

Why do all EA games servers start to go down as the games get older. The servers started doing the same thing on Burnout 3 takedown. I guess as new games come out they move the older games to the older shittier servers.

I guess as new games come out they move the older games to the older shittier servers. I think they shift resources to newer games, and likely those newer games require even more resources. I still say BF2: MC is easily the best sandbox console game ever made. DICE/EA shoudl have supported it far more.

Thats the way I felt for the Burnout 3 nights. It got so frustrating with the disconnects that we quit playing.

I think I played Burnout 3 with some GAP people once or twice...it was fun. Somehow, I just never got into the game. Maybe the game night for it wasn't good for me. But it is nice to know the servers "could" be used as a good excuse as well.

I played in a couple of GAP nights but the servers were so bad that I just quit showing up. It wasn't worth the hassle. Maybe that is the way EA phases out their older online games. The servers get worse every day to eventually no one is playing so they shut the server down.

ALERT:
Sorry, folks I will be away this weekend so I cannot even TRY to set up a BF2:MC game. If anyone want to do it anyway that is cool, but I have places to see and people to do.

Wrong, Monkey, you have people to see and places to do.
I just felt like coming here to say that, and that I can try to get on Sunday, but my advice is to move it to Monday during school hours, which is when the glitch kids are in school -- and when the servers are usually perfectly fine.
Yes, the glitch kids who go into rooms to crash a server are the ones causing the problems.

I've been playing a lot under the handle monkeyK69. The servers have been stable for the past few weeks. I don't really want to start up a nigh, but if you have a hankering to play the game is still DAMN fun.
